Dreaming of sleep? That is exactly why I created a free guide which details the 5 steps to help your 4-17 month old baby sleep well!
As a Paediatric Sleep Consultant in Fife, Scotland. I work with families whose baby's, toddlers and children won't sleep, they are fed up with bedtime battles and are exhausted. I help them move forward to a fun and relaxing bedtime routine, independent settling at bedtime (within about 10 mins), babies sleeping happily during the night and waking well rested in the morning. This is super important to me, it breaks my heart that parents are not able to enjoy this precious time and think there is nothing they can do to help support better sleep. It is a lie that you need to continue with a sleepless situation. You can enjoy being a parent, you don't need to be dog tired! I know that it is much easier now, (before you start back work, before baby brother or sister comes along or before they start nursery) to make a change. |

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ABOUT CRYING?
As a Baby and Toddler Sleep Consultant in Scotland I offer plans that are customised around you and your family values. I will be honest with you and will tell you the reason your child isn't sleeping well, and work with YOU to find the best way to make a change. I do not teach cry-it-out or controlled crying, but can't promise no tears! That said whether your child cries depends on several factors, personality, current sleep debt and of course how we approach things, this is why my plans are part of a package of care with 1-2-1 support My sleep coaching is not sleep training as you know it. The families I work with have read 100's of books and need something more than a standard plan, they need a helping hand to coach them back to being confident parents. They need a professional who is qualified in baby sleep and done hours and hours of accredited study, not just a day's training or read some parenting books and pieced it together. What I do promise is better sleeping families and often in as short a time as two weeks, and it is a reality when working with me that your baby will be sleeping happily in the night, wake happy and well rested in the morning and take long restful naps in the daytime! What are your qualifications?
I have achieved two certifications in sleep, my first in 2016, where I received 3-days intensive in person training, this also included 3-months personal mentorship which required me to pass certain academic benchmarks along side completing practical case studies with families. In addition a full 12 months mentorship once I received my certification was taken up. Since then I have added to my qualifications with several training programmes the most recent achievement was accreditation as a Holistic Sleep Coach which involved over 80 hours of training with world leaders in the field of infant care. covering a whole range of interrelated topics. For a full list of my credentials see here. I don’t live in the DUNFERMLINE area – can we still work together?
Yes absolutely, I travel all over Scotland and depending on your location the travel is included in the package price, for longer distances there may be a small travel fee and of course all my clients can make use of technology and opt for a video consultation, I support families in this way all over the UK and beyond I have more than one child with sleep issues - how does that work?
I regularly support whole families, whether that is twins or siblings, the good news is that the investment for working with multiple children from the same family starting a plan at the same time. is the package price i.e £325 + £100 per additional sibling only. what actually is it you do?
I support and coach you the parents to make specific and key changes to help your baby sleep well, I use all my training in sleep, infant care, child development and nutrition to provide a complete and holistic plan for you to follow, this is further supported with 1-2-1 follow up over several weeks. Check out my packages for more details or book a quick call with me, we can chat about how exactly I can help you. do you provide a guarantee?
The exchange that we make is for my time and services and not a guarantee promise of "sleeping through the night or your money back", while I know of consultants who do offer this, it usually causes unrealistic expectations of what your child is capable of, or doesn't take into consideration that all families are different and unique and in some cases sleep issues are very complex and circumstances don't allow a 'perfect' situation to completely resolve nightwakings. HOW MUCH SUPPORT IS INCLUDED?
This depends on the package you choose, all my plans come with one-to-one support from 1-week to 12-weeks. Care packages can include in-home consultations or remote video consultations of 60-90 minutes. Weekly 15-20 minute coaching sessions via phone or video and daily email access. I also offer real time coaching, when I come to your home and help you implement the changes at bedtime and provide demonstrations on what to do when your baby wakes in the night. Most families begin to see an improvement in the first week. Have you worked with families who had tried everything and nothing worked? How will working with you be different?
Hiring a sleep consultant isn’t usually the first thing parents do when they’re struggling with their child’s sleep. Chances are you’ve read a few books, done some research on the Internet, and tried a few things already. As part of your preliminary questionnaire I will capture exactly what strategies you’ve tried in the past AND how your baby reacted. I will also ask how long you tried those strategies for, and why you decided to stop using them. I am trained in advanced sleep coaching techniques and holistic ways of supporting and shaping better sleep and am able to adapt if things don't go as planned. I have a flexible approach and am creative with the solutions I suggest, most importantly it is the level of support I provide that helps you to resolve your child's exhausting sleep habits. my baby has medical conditions which affect sleep - can I still work with you?
I am trained in supporting parents and children with sleep pathologies or other medical conditions which affect sleep such as apnoea, reflux, allergies, tube fed infants/feeding or eating issues, infants with regular or longer term hospital stays, children with ASD, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders and Anxiety. I have a network of professionals who support children with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy. I am in no way medically trained and will always work with the current plan you have with your pediatrician and am happy to discuss your specific situation in more detail.
